1) to come

I am coming today. =
Dolazim danas.
I have to come early. =
Moram da dođem rano.
I was coming home every summer. =
Dolazio/la sam kući svakog leta.
I came home last year. =
Došao/la sam kući prošle godine.
I will be coming home every summer. =
Dolaziću kući svakog leta.
I will come home next year. =
Doći ću kući sledeće godine.
2) to say
reći
kazati (kažem)
We don’t use ‘reknem’, we would avoid that form in the present, but we would use it in the past and in the future.
Also, these verbs have only perfective forms.
I said, don’t touch that! =
Rekao/la sam, ne pipaj to!
I will tell you a secret. =
Reći ću ti tajnu.
3) to put
stavljati (stavljam), impf
staviti (stavim), perf
I’m putting sunscreen on my face. =
Stavljam kremu za sunčanje na lice.
You should put some sunscreen on. =
Trebalo bi da staviš kremu za sunčanje.
I was putting sunscreen on every morning. =
Stavljao/la sam kremu za sunčanje svako jutro.
I put on sunscreen 10 minutes ago. =
Stavio/la sam kremu za sunčanje pre 10 minuta.
I will be putting sunscreen on every day. =
Stavljaću kremu za sunčanje svaki dan.
I will put sunscreen on,
let me drink my coffee first. =
Staviću kremu za sunčanje,
samo da popijem kafu prvo.
4) to give
davati (dajem), impf
dati (dam), perf
I give you money every weekend. =
Dajem ti novac svaki vikend.
I can’t give you money now. =
Ne mogu da ti dam novac sada.
I was giving you money every time. =
Davao/la sam ti novac svaki put.
I gave you money last weekend. =
Dao/la sam ti novac prošlog vikenda.
I will be giving you money when I get a job. =
Davaću ti novac kada se zaposlim.
I will give you money later. =
Daću ti novac kasnije.
5) to look
gledati (gledam), impf
pogledati (pogledam), perf
I look at the birds often. =
Često gledam ptice.
Can you look at this document? =
Možeš li da pogledaš ovaj dokument?
I was looking at it the whole afternoon. =
Gledao/la sam ga celo popodne.
I looked at it quickly. =
Brzo sam ga pogledao/la.
I will be looking at it all weekend. =
Gledaću ga ceo vikend.
