    Last weekend Marko and his friends went to nature. They brought food, drinks and a barbecue. The weather was sunny and warm. They found a nice place by the river. The grass was green and the trees provided shade. Marko lit the fire for the barbecue. =
    Prošlog vikenda Marko i njegovi prijatelji otišli su u prirodu. Poneli su hranu, piće i roštilj. Vreme je bilo sunčano i toplo. Našli su lepo mesto pored reke. Trava je bila zelena, a drveće je pravilo hladovinu. Marko je upalio vatru za roštilj.

    Milica prepared the vegetables, and Luka made the salad. Peter set the table and chairs. The smell of roasted meat spread through nature. The birds were singing and the river was softly gurgling. =
    Milica je pripremila povrće, a Luka je pravio salatu. Petar je postavio sto i stolice. Miris pečenog mesa širio se prirodom. Ptice su pevale, a reka je tiho žuborila.

    Everyone was talking, laughing and playing board games. After lunch, Marko and Milica went for a walk by the river. Luka and Petar were playing football. In the afternoon, everyone drank coffee and ate cookies together. =
    Svi su pričali, smejali se i igrali društvene igre. Posle ručka, Marko i Milica su otišli da šetaju pored reke. Luka i Petar su igrali fudbal. Popodne su svi zajedno pili kafu i jeli kolače.

    The sun started to set. The friends slowly packed up and cleaned the place. They felt happy and relaxed. Marko said it was the best weekend this year. They agreed to come again next month. =
    Sunce je počelo da zalazi. Prijatelji su polako spakovali stvari i očistili mesto. Osećali su se srećno i opušteno. Marko je rekao da je to bio najbolji vikend ove godine. Dogovorili su se da ponovo dođu sledećeg meseca.

    The garden is also full of colorful flowers. Sarah loves the smell of fresh flowers. In the evening, he milks cows with his mother. After all the work is done, Sarah plays with the farm dogs. They run around the yard, happy and free. As the sun sets, Sara feels tired but satisfied. Farm life is hard work, but Sarah loves every bit of it. =

    Miloš živi u malom selu u Srbiji. Svake godine njegova porodica slavi Slavu. Slava je poseban dan za srpske porodice. Odaje počast njihovom svecu zaštitniku. Miloševa porodica slavi Svetog Đorđa.

    On this day they prepare a big feast. Miloš helps his mother bake bread. The bread is called “Slavic cake”. They also make a special dish from the grain. Miloš’s father lights a candle in front of the saint’s icon. =
    Na ovaj dan pripremaju veliku gozbu. Miloš pomaže majci da peče hleb. Hleb se zove “Slavski kolač”. Takođe prave posebno jelo od žita. Milošev otac pali sveću pred ikonom svetitelja.

    The priest comes to bless the food and the family. Everyone prays together. After that they share the food. Family and friends come to visit. Everyone is eating, drinking and talking. They sing traditional songs. Miloš likes to hear old stories from his grandparents. The celebration lasts the whole day. At the end of the day, Miloš is happy and proud of his tradition. Slava is a day of love, faith and family. =
    Sveštenik (pop) dolazi da blagoslovi hranu i porodicu. Svi se zajedno mole. Posle toga dele hranu. Porodica i prijatelji dolaze u posetu. Svi jedu, piju i pričaju. Pevaju tradicionalne pesme. Miloš voli da čuje stare priče od babe i dede. Proslava traje ceo dan. Na kraju dana, Miloš je srećan i ponosan na svoju tradiciju. Slava je dan ljubavi, vere i porodice.
